Message from the President

Greetings,

It gives me great pleasure to serve as the 6th President of the Gwinnett Pearls of Service Foundation, Incorporated (GPS). GPS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, established in 2005, by a group of inspired, like-minded women with a common cause. GPS operates as a fundraising entity that provides programs and resources to individuals and other community organizations in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

Our mission is to strengthen the social, health, economic and educational well-being of the Gwinnett County community and surrounding areas. We will continue partnering with local community organizations to fulfill our mission and to make a positive impact on the communities we serve. In total , in our partnership with Upsilon Alpha Omega, GPS has awarded over $900,000 in scholarships and grants to students and community organizations in the Gwinnett County area. In 2021, we participated in over 102 community service activities, yielding over 8,112 volunteer hours, through our premiere partner, Upsilon Alpha Omega, and other organizations.

We encourage you to explore our website, support our community programs, and participate in our fundraisers. Most of the funds that support GPS programs and community service activities come from our membership and volunteers, by securing generous contributions from donors like you.

Your donation supports community-based organizations and service projects, which target the same populations in which we serve.  These include volunteer programs related to scholarship and academic pursuits for individuals desiring to further their education.  Making a difference would not be possible without the commitment and volunteer efforts of the Foundation’s donors and contributors.  Your gift could make the difference in the lives of young people for years to come.

Sincerely,

Sandra C Marshall, President
Gwinnett Pearls of Service Foundation, Inc.
